Horrible Time - Snotty Fans

Our children bought us tickets to the Sharks-Ducks game on Saturday, March 18th. We arrived excited as we are big fans traveling 3 1/2 hours to our first game. As we sat down in our seats in section 215 we were immediately tapped on the shoulder by a woman a row above us. She said I was blocking her view. I sat back and was a bit surprised. A minute or two went by and she tapped my shoulder again with the same complaint. She said I had to sit all the way back. Over the next 4 minutes two women (they appeared to be together) tapped my shoulders. They were more concerned with me sitting back in my seat than they were with the game. Mind you, I was in my seat, leaning forward ever so slightly. An usher approached me and handed me a piece of paper that said if I don't sit back in my seat I will be removed, the two women complained about me. Needless to say, this "seat monitor" ruined the game for us and we left during the first period. She made it her job to make sure that all people in these seats were sitting back. I looked around, not many people were in this section and I am sure it is because of these two ladies in section 215. I understand that there are some policies against unruly fans, standing up and being a nuisance, but this was not us. In speaking with other fans, they were standing, seated on the edge of their seats, but no one was complaining about them, so this is a rule that is only carried out by a small group of people who have been given power to control other people. I was really bummed as I am a 5'3" fan who, when seated forward does not take up much more room than any other person. This rule didn't ruin our night, but the fan who felt obligated to enforce it did. I am sad that I couldn't enjoy the game and I was actually the one harassed constantly and missed the last 2 periods. I hope to contact the Sharks office and make a complaint of my own.
